Celta Vigo star refuses to sign new deal with the club following Arsenal and Barcelona interest in the 29 year old!
Arsenal and Barcelona have been monitoring the situation regarding Nolito as he has refused to sign a contract extension with Celta Vigo.
Nolito has been in superb form this season, netting seven times in eleven games. These goals have helped lift Vigo into the top four places in La Liga. When playing in the second half on Spain’s 2-0 win over England he added after the game that he has hit a stumbling block and there were issues to settle within the club before he penned a new deal down with his current club.
It does now allow Arsenal and Barcelona to be alerted of the situation and pull there act together and launch a bid that could see the Spaniard move in the upcoming transfer window as well as that it is rumored that he is a target for both Arsenal and Barcelona with the teams now looking to make a bid after this emerged earlier on this afternoon.
The 29 old is currently at Celta Vigo and has 3 and a half years on this contract left with the Spanish club and he has told the media: “I will not sign, I have 3 and a half years left on my contract with a release clause written into my current contract”
Celta Vigo have yet to comment on the matter and they will want to resolve this issue as quick as possible so contract talks can get anyway and they can amend the current release clause of £12.5million.
However, it is Arsenal at the moment with a potential bid to be made in January of £13 million and are ready to battle Barcelona for the 29 year old’s services.
