Aaron Ramsey admits to feeling more confident

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has admitted that he is feeling a lot more confident, especially when he is in front of goal.

The Welshman scored in The Gunners’ first-leg against Fenerbache in Turkey and then bagged a brace in the return-leg at the Emirates on Tuesday night.

Ramsey’s second was particularly pleasing on the eye after he volleyed home a Kieran Gibbs cross.

The 2013/2014 campaign has been good to the midfield-man so far and he has put it down to feeling much more confident when he steps on the pitch.

“I’ve always been getting into the positions, even last season, but maybe I’ve not been so composed in the shot to score the goal,” he told Arsenal.com. “I feel confident at the moment and things are just happening naturally out there. Hopefully it will continue.

“I think with the injury I had, it takes a long time to overcome that mentally. I’m over that now and I feel like I’m confident again. Things are happening naturally on the pitch so I’m feeling good out there at the moment.

“Confidence is such a big thing in this game and I feel like that’s definitely been the biggest change. Towards the back end of last season and into the new season I’ve felt so much more confident out there and I think that’s the biggest change really.”
