Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has admitted that he has completely forgotten about his serious injury sustained back in 2010 and believes that is why he is feeling so confident on the pitch.

The Welshman scored yet again for The Gunners yesterday during their 3-1 victory against Stoke City to make it seven goals from eight appearances, which has already made this season his most pivotal one yet.

Back in 2010 however, it was thought that his career could be over after he broke his leg against Stoke, but the Welshman has admitted that that injury, is now behind him.

“I feel like the back end of last season I was getting my confidence back and I felt good again,” said Ramsey. “This season I’ve been more composed in front of goal and putting things away. I’m delighted with the way I’ve been playing now for some time and I just want to continue that.

“I think from Christmas onwards last season I feel I was getting back to my best again and that’s when I felt like I was confident and getting stuck in again. I was playing in the middle which helped whereas before that I was playing all over the shop.”

“Those memories have gone, especially playing at home is a different game. I think under Mark Hughes they’ve changed their style of play a bit, they’ve had a good start to the season.

“I’m sure they are still going to be quite physical by pressing us and closing us down but we’re at home and we will be switched on so hopefully we can get the result that we’re looking for.”
