ABC mistakenly claim Bob Bradley has taken over at Chelsea

The American has in fact taken over at Swansea and NOT at Stamford Bridge

ABC7 News mistakenly reported that Bob Bradley was the new Chelsea manager today.

The American has become the new manager of Swansea, after the Welsh side’s last boss – Francesco Guidolin – was sacked after a poor run of form for the club that has seen them sink to 17th in the table.

He’d been linked with the job over the last few weeks and was finally unveiled as manager when Guidolin was officially sacked yesterday.

Bradley is first American Premier League manager

However, it appears America (or ABC7 News at least) received the wrong message because they instead claimed that he had taken over as the new CHELSEA manager.

In the news segment, they claimed that Bob Bradley had become the first American manager to take over a Premier League side in Chelsea. However, he isn’t actually Blues chief – Antonio Conte is still the man in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Conte hasn’t had the greatest of starts to life in the Premier League but it is early days yet and he is going nowhere for the time being.

Bradley on the other hand is now tasked with helping Swansea climb up the Premier League table and back towards the right end of the league.
