The Chelsea owner is ready to provide the Blues with serious money if things don’t improve

Roman Abramovich will fund some more big transfers in January and the summer if things do not improve at Chelsea, according to reports.

The Blues have got off to another terrible start in the league this season and after a 3-0 loss to Arsenal at the weekend, the club’s owner has decided he is ready to give Antonio Conte the funds to completely overhaul the squad and get Chelsea back to winning ways.

The club has largely stuck by a lot of the players who disappointed at Stamford Bridge last season, with Conte only bringing in four players. However, they haven’t capitalised on their chance to make things right again this year and now a complete overhaul is on the cards, according to The Telegraph.

Several players to be shown the door

It could see several current first-team players sold off in the next few transfer windows and replaced with the players that Conte believes can bring success back to the club – no matter how much they cost.

Antonio Conte did miss out on several of his top targets in the summer, as he failed to bring players like Antonio Rudiger and Alvaro Morata to the club – two players who could have massively helped the side this season.

Abramovich though is ready to fund any moves that Conte wants to make in a bid to get Chelsea back challenging for the Premier League title again. It means that we could see a completely new look Blues team by next season, with several first-team and fringe players likely to be let go as previously mentioned (Fabregas and Oscar are just two examples of players who could be shown the door) and  replacements brought in.
