AC Milan have completed the signing of Japanese playmaker Kaisuke Hondra from Russian club CSKA Moscow, with Honda signing a deal until the Summer of 2017.

The Japanese international stated in an interview regarding his move to Serie A.

Milan are a legend, it’s a dream come true,” Honda told the Milan Channel television station on his arrival at the city’s airport ahead of his official presentation on Wednesday.

“I know the situation, I know that everyone is expecting a lot from me. For my part, I believe I can do something special. I am confident.”

Honda’s move to the Italian giants will be vital for Milan, who have struggled for form this year, sitting just five points above the relegation zone in the top tier of Italian Football, with the Rossanari suffering problems both on, and off the hallowed turf of the San Siro, with allegations of corruption surrounding the clubs directors.

Honda’s arrival will come as a welcomed break for supporters, with Milan supporters hoping that Honda can have a positive impact on the second half of the current Serie A season.

The 27-year-old midfielder, who will be crucial to Japan’s hopes at the World Cup later this year, spent three years in Moscow, and was a key member of a successful CSKA squad.

Honda was a recent target for Premier League clubs Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, but decided on a move to Milan.
