Tottenham striker in talks with West Ham over a potential loan move
Emmanuel Adebayor, 31 has not played for Tottenham during pre-season and after a loan move to Aston Villa fell through it looks like West Ham are now the front runners to sign him on loan.
Adebayor is in the final year of his contract at Spurs and although West Ham failed to land him in January, they are much more desperate to sign him now to bolster their depleted attack.
West Ham are already missing Enner Valencia, Andy Carroll and Mauro Zarate through injury, leaving Diafra Sakho as their only fit striker at present meaning signing a striker is top priority for the Hammers.
Other options
West Ham are said to also be close to signing Hull striker Nikica Jelavic and if that deal goes through the interest might wane on Emmanuel Adebayor who doesn’t appear to have a future at Tottenham.
