PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi has claimed that Adrien Rabiot still wants to leave Paris despite staying at the club through the summer. The 19-year old looked set to leave the Ligue 1 champions, with a whole host of teams interested.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea were linked with the 19-year old throughout the transfer window but Rabiot didn’t end up leaving the French club. However, Al-Khelaifi has claimed the youngster only stayed at the club because he couldn’t agree a deal with any suitors. The PSG chief said:
“We talked about Rabiot with Roma and other clubs but we did not come to any agreement. I love the kid – I think he’s a great player and I want him to stay.
“I have tried to get him to renew his contract, but without success. He wants to leave”
