The AFC Asian Cup 2019 is going to be historic because this is the first time that this tournament is consisting of 24 teams. Earlier, there used to be only 16 teams in all the seasons from 2004 to 2015. The new format will have six groups of 4 teams initially and then the knockout stage will have 16 teams.
