After six months training with the best, Chelsea youngster is set for loan move

Blues youngster Jake Clarke-Salter has been heavily linked with a loan move over to Nottingham Forest in January.

This is according to reports on ESPN.

The 20 year old youngster has been highly rated since coming through the academy at Chelsea Football Club and made 13 appearances on while loan with Bristol Rovers in League One last season.

Now, just after six months training with the first team, the club believe he’s ready to step up a division to the Championship.

Nottingham Forest are keen to find a for cover at the back, and the centre back seems set for a 6 month spell in the Midlands.

Clarke-Salter has been training with the senior squad all season, however,  hasn’t yet been able to get on the pitch given the wealth of defensive talent we’ve got (with the exception of one game – coincidentally against Forest, in the EFL Cup), so hopefully that experience will serve him well and he can return in the summer having proved himself at a new and higher level than ever before.
