The London rivals are the latest teams to be interested

According to reports from English newspapers, Arsenal and Chelsea are considering a move for FC Sion centre forward Moussa Konate.

The Senegal international could potentially make the switch to the Emirates Stadium or Stamford Bridge for around ÂŁ10 million.

Konate was one of the football stars at the 2012 London Olympics, where he scored five goals for Senegal as they reached the quarter-finals of the tournament. One of his five was a late equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Great Britain at Old Trafford during the group stages.

His performance at the Olympics put him on the radar of Premier League sides Tottenham Hotspur and Everton. Fast forward three years and Konate, now 22-years of age, might be on his way to the capital according to his agent.

‘they would not sell for less than ÂŁ10 million’

Konate’s agent, Antoine Issa Kossoko, said: “Lots of English clubs are interested in Moussa. Chelsea and Arsenal scouts are keeping an eye on him, but he is not obsessed with the Premier League and will consider good offers from Germany, Spain or England.”

He also added: “Hannover, Mainz and Bruges were keen on him this summer, offering up to £6m, but Sion said they would not sell for less than £10 million.”

Konate has scored seven goals in nine games for Switerland’s Sion so far this season.
