Arsenal are set to hold talks with Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, dubbed the ‘new Luka Modric’.
The Croatian played a major part in his country’s fortunes in this summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
And Brozovic’s agent, Miroslav Bicanic, has confirmed on goal.com the talks with the North London club.
The 21-year-old is currently tied down to a long-term deal until 2019, but the agent revealed that talks with Arsenal could happen when Croatia take on the USA in a friendly at the Emirates Stadium next month.
Bicanic said: “Croatia plays USA in November in London and during our stay there we will hold meetings and negotiate with several English teams.
“Yes, I can confirm Arsenal are one of them.”
Brozovic has worked his way up through the Croatian national setup, representing his nation at under-18, under-19, under-20 and under 21 levels. He has six caps for the senior side with one goal.
