Agent rules out Dzeko move

Irfan Redzepagic has quashed any rumours Edin Dzeko might be leaving Manchester City

Redzepagic recently revealed there is “zero” chance of the 29-year-old leaving City this summer.

There had been speculation Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini was keen to offload the Bosnia and Herzegovina international in order to fund a spending spree.

Atletico Madrid were reported to be favourites for Dzeko’s signature but Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea are also believed to interested in the City striker.

However, agent Redzepagic has moved quickly to deny any reports that Dzeko might leave City and has rubbished claims of there ever having been any offers.

“Every day he’s linked with another club. First Atletico Madrid, then Roma and now Chelsea,” he told Nezavisne.

“I’m bored of repeating that these stories are not true.

“He hasn’t rejected any offers because there hasn’t been any offers.

“The chances of him leaving are zero.”

Mourinho could well decide to move for Dzeko after letting veteran striker Didier Drogba leave at the end of last season.

The former Wolfsburg striker would provide competition to Diego CostaMourinho is believed to have deemed Loic Remy and Patrick Bamford surplus to requirements.

Bamford, who spent last season on loan at Championship Middlesbrough, is attracting interest from several clubs, including West Bromwich Albion.

West Brom manager Tony Pulis has reportedly identified the 21-year-old as the ideal replacement for Saido Berahino, who is attracting interest from the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham.
