Kristoffer Ajer believes that Celtic can win the SPFL title.
The reigning champions are closely followed by arch-rivals Rangers and they also lost their last match against the Gers.
Celtic defensive ace Kristoffer Ajer has said that his side can surely retain the Scottish Premiership title. The Hoops have found it difficult to hit the ground running and are closely followed by their arch-rivals Rangers this season. The last meeting between the two giants saw the Gers win the match by 1-0, thus leaving the league leaders Celtic in a spot of bother as far as winning the SPFL is concerned.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, the Celtic defender said, “We are still in a good position, top of the league with a game in hand and just really looking forward to hopefully keep going for the rest of the season.”
He added, “The league is a lot more competitive this year, there are so many good teams. Kilmarnock, Aberdeen are doing really well and they are close up there as well. There are a lot of good teams who can take some points off you if you are not 100 per cent there.”
Ajer also said, “I don’t think it was a wake-up call. We always reflect on every single game and always work really hard to put ourselves in the best position for every game. On the day we didn’t perform well enough, it’s as easy as that.”
