Terry hasn’t started a Premier League game under Antonio Conte since September and Alan Smith believes this must be hurting the veteran footballer
Blues hero John Terry has found himself struggling to get game time in Conte’s squad and instead played in Chelsea’s cup competitions with the reserves.
And pundit Smith says Terry will be suffering with his current situation, claiming he wouldn’t want his Stamford Bridge career to end like this.
“It must be hurting him that things are looking so great for Chelsea,” Smith told Sky Sports.
“He wouldn’t want to bow out in this fashion, just as a support.
“But it might be in the last month or so he gets in the team and lifts the trophy. You don’t know how it’s going to finish.
“After a glorious career at Chelsea this isn’t the way he’ll want it to come to an end.”
