Lyon have handed a bitter blow to Premier League sides after putting a £28 million price tag upon the sholders of Alexandre Lacazetta.
The 23-year-old forward has impressed for the Ligue 1 side this season, netting 22 goals this season, form which has attracted interest from three Premier League sides.
Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool are all known admirers of the player, who had previously neen a known target for Newcastle.
Lyon manager Hubert Fournier revealed that he believes that Manchester City’s £28 million signing of Wilfried Bony set the overall benchmark for signings in January.
“He is one of the best strikers in Europe and he does have a price.
“Especially when you see the amount Manchester City paid to secure the services of Bony.”
