Liverpool have been tipped to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazetta, ahead of Premier League rivals Arsenal, the Daily Express understand.
The highly-rated 23-year-old has impressed in his homeland, and remains the top scorer in the French top-flight, having netted 24 goals this season.
And such form for Lyon has alerted both Liverpool and Arsenal, with the Anfield outfit favourites to land the internationally capped player.
French Sports Journalist, Julien Laurens, revealed that Liverpool are leading the race to land the forward, in a recent interview with the Sport Review: “I think if Lyon win the league, he will go, stated Laurens.
“If they qualify for the Champions League by finishing second or third I think he might give it another year.
