Arsenal star agrees deal with Manchester City

Alexis Sanchez has agreed a deal with Manchester City, according to Di Marzio. The Italian transfer guru has claimed that The Cityens have given him two options:

  1. Join this month by convincing Arsenal to sell him for £20 million and get £15 million as signing-on bonus
  2. Join in the summer for free and get a £30 million signing-on bonus

The 29-year-old, whose deal ends in the summer, is keen on working with Pep Guardiola. While there have been reports that several clubs have been approaching Sanchez, the Arsenal forward’s wish to join City could force them to get rid of their plans.

An injury to Gabriel Jesus seems to have opened up the possibility of  a January window for Sanchez, after the 20-year-old suffered ligament damage to his knee, an injury that has ruled him out for two months.

Apart from this, it has also been claimed that a potential move to acquire Sanchez last summer had cost Carlo Ancelotti his job at Bayern Munich, when the former boss tried to stitch a deal and fight away competition from PSG. The failure of the deal soured Ancelotti’s relationship with the club.
