Alexis Sanchez ‘has already chosen his next club’
Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez ‘has already chosen his next club’, that’s according to Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
The German side had made the Chilean a priority for next summer, but were reportedly put off by his ÂŁ300,000-a-week wage demands and have since dropped their interest.
As everybody knows by now, Alexis’ contract at the Emirates expires next summer. This means he is free to negotiate from January with clubs other than Arsenal.
“I think Sanchez has already decided which club he wants to join, so I suppose that the door will be closed in January,” Rumenigge told Sky Germany.
Manchester City appear to be in the driving seat to sign Alexis, having missed out on signing him at the end of the summer transfer window this year.
PSG have also been linked to him, as they look for cheap reinforcements to help them avoid breaking Financial Fair Play rules.
Alexis has shown no signs that he will renew at Arsenal, with Arsene Wenger already scrambling to find a replacement not just for him, but also Mesut Ozil who could also be a free agent in June.
It’s said that Ozil is more receptive to staying in North London. However, as of right now he is still yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal.
