New contract talks are underway at the Emirates Stadium
Arsenal are set to hand star forward Alexis Sanchez a bumper new contract to stay with the club, making him the highest earner in the process.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsene Wenger wants to give the Chilean a new long-term contract following his form since joining from Barcelona just over 12 months ago.
He’s been instrumental to Arsenal‘s start to the season, scoring six goals and assisting three, adding to his 15 goals during his first campaign in England last year.
New Deals at Arsenal
Mesut Ozil is supposedly the current top earner at Arsenal, picking up close to £140,000-per-week, however, Sanchez‘s new deal would take him above the German and increase his current £130,000-per-week deal.
This news comes after reports also emerged that Nacho Monreal is set to extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium as well, snubbing a return to Spain in the process.
