Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata has insisted scoring goals will ease his path in future.

Morata has been struggling to find the back of the net but off late the Spaniard has managed to score in consecutive games just before the start of the international break.

The 25 year old scored the winner in the 1-0 win over Vidi in the Europa League and continued his goal scoring chart when Chelsea thumped Southampton 3-0 to maintain their perfect start in the Premier League.

Chelsea are scheduled to face Manchester United in a crucial fixture this week and it remains to be seen whether the player make the final cut or not. Olivier Giroud has been the preferred choice for Maurizio Sarri but Morata’s current form should hand him a little edge.

Morata said, “I am a happy person, especially off the field, outside of football

“Within football I would like to be happier and for that I have t.o score more goals, which is what makes me happy. But I am sure that little by little they will enter, because I am having occasions.”

“I have more confidence. Last week I made two goals for Chelsea and the other day, against Wales, I worked for the team.

“I am very happy to be here and now I have to fight to play.”
