Alvaro Morata has sent a blow to Chelsea and Manchester United’s hopes of signing him this summer insisting that he wants to stay at Real Madrid.

Chelsea have been linked with a Morata move to Stamford Bridge all season and Manchester United were rumoured to be ready to make a move as well.

Morata has also been touted as a possible target for Italian giants AC Milan in recent days.

However, it now seems the striker is keen to stay at Real Madrid beyond this summer transfer window

If his comments are anything to go by.

Speaking to Mediaset after the Champions League final on Saturday  about rumours linking him with AC Milan, Morata said: “I don’t know anything about Milan [interest].

“I read these things in the papers but don’t know anything about them.”

The striker then added to beIN Sports: “To go back to Madrid again and win the Champions League is incredible.

“I think that it doesn’t depend on so much on me if I want to stay, I am happy here, my dream is to be here and right now I’m not thinking about anything but celebrating.

“This is a team. Here we are 23, we have won together, we lose together and there’s no need to think individually. If not, I would have to play tennis.”
