Spanish striker could have played in the Premier League

Alvaro Morata’s agent Giuseppe Bozzo has revealed the forward snubbed a move to Arsenal for a move to Italy instead.

The Spanish international decided to join Serie A Champions Juventus last summer from Real Madrid, after rejecting the opportunity to move to the Emirates Stadium.

Bozzo suggested that the La Liga giants were reluctant to let Morata leave, but the player wanted to move due to his lack of game time at the Bernabeu.

When speaking to Tuttosport, he said: “They then wanted to sell him to the club who made the best offer, trying to get more than what Juve offered but Alvaro dug his heels. He said one thing, and that is he wanted to join Juve. And that’s where he ended up, despite pressure from Real.”

The 22-year old striker has scored 11 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions this campaign.
