Chelsea line up a bid for two of PSG’s midfielders
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in swooping in for two of Paris Saint Germain’s key midfielders, Blaise Matuidi and Javier Pastore.
This would be an interesting move for the West London club, given how much midfield talent is avaliable in the squad, but they could act as replacements given that players such as Frank Lampard are at the end of their contract, so a fresh injection of talent would be much welcomed by The Blues.
This could also be part of a swap with the Parisien club as they expressed their interest in Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata, but Matuidi has been stalling on contract talks and is avaliable on a free transfer next summer when his current deal runs out and is likely to make an exit from Ligue 1.
There are also reports of Manchester City being linked with the Frenchman but given Mourinho’s ambition and persistence with signing players, it would be no surprise to see Matuidi or indeed Pastore, make a move to West London.
