With the Champions League clash between Milan and Atletico Madrid fast approaching, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed he has given Seedorf some advice on how to beat the Spanish side.
Ancelotti’s side thrashed their city rivals 5-0 on aggregate in the Copa del Rey semi-final earlier this month, and Diego Simeone’s side now face a trip to the San Siro on Wednesday.
Seedorf and Ancelotti have a close connection after they worked together as player and manager at Milan and the Italian has revealed he has spoken with Seedorf about how to better the Madrid side he faces.
Ancelotti told the Corriere dello Sport:“He’s a partner and a friend,
“It was inevitable that he’d request information. He knows how to deal with it. He’s completely into his role. He has great ideas.
“Atletico play in the image of their coach. I remember Simeone as a player. He’s smart tactically and gave it all. So his team are like him: strong, compact, with the mentality of a fighter.
“Milan must be careful about the counterattack and set pieces.”
