Andre Ayew holding out for Liverpool move

Andre Ayew is holding out for a dream move to Liverpool, despite Brendan Rodgers showing no interest in him. The attacker has just one year left on his current deal at Marseille.

He rejected an approach from Newcastle last year and it doesn’t look like he’ll be signing a new contract at the Ligue 1 club either. That is because he is holding out for a move to Anfield according to reports from France.

L’Equipe is claiming that he was recently being tracked by AC Milan and Napoli, but their interest was halted when he asked for wages of ÂŁ240,000 a month and this is reportedly because he wants a move to the Premier League and to Liverpool.

The Reds are in the market for a new forward, after they sold star man Luis Suarez to Barcelona and moves for other forwards, such as Loic Remy, have broken down. They could be tempted by Ayew and his keen interest in a move could make a deal happen. However, as previously mentioned, Brendan Rodgers is yet to have any interest in the 24-year old and therefore a bid doesn’t seem likely at the moment.
