Chelsea midfielder Andre Schurrle could be on the verge of a return to Germany in the January transfer window, with the player linked with Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg.
Schurrle, aged 24, looks liely to leave Stamford Bridge in the near future, having failed to impress Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, following his return to club duty from his World Cup win in Brazil last summer.
Reports in the German media suggest that Wolfsburg are to table an offer of around £20 million for Schurrle, with Chelsea keen to make a profit, in order to complete a move for Fiorentina’s Colombian midfielder Juan Cuadrado.
The Sporting Director at Wolfsburg, Klaus Allofs, refuted claims that his club have submitted a bid.
He said: “Nothing is true. It is only speculation.”
