Andre Villas-Boas has fears over Eriksen

Tottenham Hotspur boss fears Christian Eriksen could miss up to three months with an ankle injury sustained on international duty.

The Danish international was helped off the pitch just 40-minutes into their friendly match against Norway and after the tackle was made, the midfielder let out a horrible scream that made it clear that he was in pain.

After returning to London to be checked out by the club’s medics, they confirmed that he has damamged cruciate ligaments in his ankle and could miss up to three months of action, which is worse than first-thought.

However, there are some positives for Spurs because if Eriksen fails to return within a month, the Danish FA would have to pay compensation and that could be a six-figure package.
