Andreas Iniesta is one of the greatest players of all time and has been the mainstay for Barcelona and Spain for their most successful period. He has been at Barcelona throughout his career and has been a selfless servant for them.
Iniesta is 33 years old and cannot be part of all the clubs’s games. The midfielder has a special lifetime contract at Barca, but has been tipped to leave the Nou Camp at the end of the season and move to Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian.
It is believed that the Spain International has already made a decision about his future and will officially reveal it by 30th April.
“I know what I will do. When I have to say it, I will say it. First to the club, then the coach, then everyone else. Anyone can take these words any way they wish,” Iniesta told Sport, as quoted by Sky Sports, after Barcelona’s La Liga win against Valencia on Saturday.
“I have the love and respect of the fans now and forever. It’s not something that will make me change my mind. I’m grateful. They have been watching me for many years. It’s my home, today I’ll remember the support they have given me since the start. They are conscious that it was a difficult game and their support was fundamental.”
