Marseille striker reveals love for Reds

Marseille striker Andre Ayew has revealed he supports Premier League side Liverpool and feels a move to Anfield would be perfect for both parties.

The 25-year-old is set to leave the French club at the end of the season with his contract expiring, and with no plans on signing an extension, the Ghanaian is ready to quit Ligue 1.

Several clubs around Europe have been monitoring Ayew and have been weighing up whether they should make a move or not, but in a recent interview, the striker has revealed how he hopes for a Liverpool move.

The forward has even appointed a new agent who is English in the hope that he can secure the switch to Anfield.

Ayew impressed with Rodgers

Ayew has revealed how impressed he has been with Brendan Rodgers and how he works with young players at the club, using Raheem Sterling and Jordan Ibe as prime examples.

The Marseille man is also impressed with the football Liverpool play and he appreciates the pace and fluidity of their style.

He said in a recent interview: “Liverpool have always had exciting teams and now are a club that likes to play with pace and give chances to young players.

“I grew up watching English football and I support Liverpool.”
