Andy Robertson Insists They Would Be At Top In The Current Scenario

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson feels in the current scenario where they are yet to lose a match they would be at the top of the Premier League table.

The left back has had an immense contribution behind Liverpool’s unbeaten run in the Premier League. The Reds are just two points adrift of league leaders Manchester City and have been trying to matching their footsteps since the start of the season.

The Reds are due to face Bournemouth in the weekend and can enjoy a few hours at the top until Manchester City’s big ticket encounter with Chelsea. The Reds have surely emerged as a title challenger this term but it remains to be seen whether they can keep up their intensity in the long run or not.

Robertson insists they are solely concentrating on their results. “When you look at it and say ‘you’d be unbeaten at the start of December’, you [think] you’d be at the top of the league – but we’re not. We’re still chasing City.

“It’s been a good start for us, and we need to keep going, keep focusing on what we’re doing instead of looking at anyone else.

“We’re controlling what we’re doing right now, and if we keep putting the pressure on City, I’m sure it will go right to the end.”
