Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has revealed their plans for Neymar as the Brazilian is due to arrive at Anfield when Paris Saint Germain visit the Anfield in the Group C Champions League opener.

PSG continued their brilliant form in the Ligue 1 as they thrashed St Etienne 4-0 to prepare themselves perfectly for their clash against Liverpool. Thomas Tuchel opted to rest Neymar who was involved in international duty with Brazil and despite his absence, the French side passed the test with flying colours.

Neymar’s knack of going down to grounds too easily has earned flaks from all over the world and it was again highlighted in the World Cup where he drew the most number of fouls.

Despite the criticism, the former Barcelona attacker is one of the most standout players and Robertson admitted they need to keep him quiet in the game. “That’s not up to me, it’s the fans.

“What I do know is that he’s a world-class player and we need to be wary of him.

“His skills speak for themselves. Yeah, people say he goes down too easily, but that’s not up to us. It’s up to the referee to decide. We’ll stay away from that

“For us, we’ve got to concentrate on the qualities. Unfortunately for us, he has a lot of them.

“It’s one player that we’ll have to be wary of. The bad thing for us is that they’ve got quite a lot of players that we’ll have to be wary of.

“On the other side, a good thing for us is that we’ve got a lot of players that can cause them problems.”
