Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has rejected claims of his estranged relationship with Jose Mourinho insisting all is well between them.
The French international was confined to the bench in the initial period and even was fined in the preseason for returning late. But in the last few matches, the youngster has shown the world what he is capable of scoring three goals in the last three matches.
Much has been written about the pair’s on and off relationship. Martial’s agent even tried to force an exit claiming his agent is not happy with the limited game time but the club hierarchy was in no mood to let the player leave who is being regarded as the most valuable asset of the club.
Martial has now started three games in the Premier League and it seems he has managed to earn the trust of Mourinho who was on a collision course with the player a number of times.
Martial said, “Things were not tense between us to begin with
“We have a player-coach relationship and I hope that we will continue like that and bring Manchester United as much as possible.”
“We were not doing well,
“However, we worked hard and this sort of match enabled us to show that we are a good team.
“We want to continue with another good game against Juventus on Tuesday.
“[The goals] have done me the world of good. However, ultimately, I am disappointed. We deserved to win but we shipped the goal in the last minute and it cost us.”
