Manchester United are on the verge of securing the future of Anthony Martial. According to reports, the Red Devils are trying to tie him to the club by offering him a new five year deal.
Following his fall out with manager Jose Mourinho it had been widely expected the teenager would leave this summer but the French international stayed back as club hierarchy have so far refused to let him leave.
The teenager has fallen in the pecking order following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez and his less contribution in the second half of the season saw him missing the World Cup.
But despite the ongoing development, Martial has been offered the chance to renew his stay with a much better pay packet. United are in a pretty strong place when it comes to contractual situation The 22 year old has a contract till 2020 and the club have the option to extend it for a further year.
Mourinho is under severe pressure to deliver at this crucial juncture following United’s worst possible start to this season although he seems to have the backing of the club authority.
If Mourinho wants to improve the ongoing situation he has to use Martial more often as the youngster does have the firepower to toy with the opposition defence.
