Antoine Griezmann feels he is at par with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
The French forward had an excellent outing in the 2017/18 season as he guided Atletico Madrid to the Europe League title. He also went on to play a pivotal part in France’s run to the World Cup trophy.
Despite having so much success the French international was a bit disappointed not to find himself in the three man shortlist for Fifa’s the best award. Griezmann’s future had been the subject of speculation as the player was supposed to be the marquee signing of Barcelona in the summer. But the player confirmed his future lies at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Griezmann said, “There are different ways of watching football,.
“It is clear that I am a different player than Cristiano Ronaldo Messi, Neymar or Mbappe. I’m at the top but I can improve.
“I seek to be as complete as possible. I’m not going to score 50 goals, but I’m looking to help offensively and work for the team.
“I think I already sit where Messi and Cristiano are. And I know other players are going to come for sure.
“What’s on the table are images that I have and I enjoy at that table. But I also know that I can do better.
“I want to improve, I want to win and I want to continue like this, playing in this way.”
