Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has confirmed that he has no plans on leaving the club over the summer.
The Frenchman, who’s only been with the La Liga outfit for one season, has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League champions Chelsea.
The Blues were contemplating making a mega-formal offer for the winger, but as of yet, nothing formal has come of their interest.
It’s believed Jose Mourinho is waiting to see what happens with Mohamed Salah and Juan Cuadrado, with the former set to join AS Roma on a season-long loan.
However, if The Special One does want a replacement for the Egyptian winger, it won’t be in the shape of Griezmann.
The 24-year-old has confirmed that he has no plans on leaving Atletico and will not be considering a transfer this summer after his impressive debut season with Diego Simeone‘s side.
When asked about interest in him from other teams, he told AS: “Nothing from anyone reached me and I repeat that I only want to help the team.
“I only think about Atletico.
“I have just arrived at this club and I want to grow even more with Atletico. Therefore my thoughts are fixed here.”
Griezmann scored 25 goals last season after arriving from Real Sociedad.
