Will United sign him?
Antoine Griezmann will only speak to Manchester United about a move to Old Trafford if Jose Mourinho’s team qualify for the Champions League next season.
Of course, United have several ways of achieving this goal. A top 4 finish is still a realistic prospect, and they are also in the semi-finals of the Europa League.
Qualifying for the Champions League is the key to getting the £100million deal for Griezmann in motion.
Mourinho spent £157m last year – including a world-record £89m just for Paul Pogba – and money will be no object this summer, but he has recognised that not having Champions League football will be a problem, unlike last year where they managed to land the Pogba deal despite only having Europa League football on offer.
United have also targeted Paris Saint-Germain defensive duo Marquinhos and Serge Aurier.
