Antonio Conte hints at next move

Antonio Conte, who quit as the Italian national side’s manager in 2016 after their Euro exit, could return at their helm of affairs.

Members at the Italian Football Association are rooting for the return of Conte to the national side, however, his return could materialise if he leaves Chelsea at the end of the season.

The 48-year-old took full blame for their 0-0 draw to 10-man Leicester City recently, stating it was his mistake to send tired players to the field.

Chelsea captain Gary Cahill praises “bargain”new signing Ross Barkley

“I saw many players tired but don’t forget we played a massive game on Wednesday night against Arsenal.

“And then I decided to pick the same formation after two and a half days and maybe I made a mistake because many players didn’t recover from this effort”.

Conte is waiting to check who the next FIGC President will be, with elections to choose the replacement for the outgoing Carlo Tavecchio set to take place on January 29.
