John Terry will become a successful manager when he decides to hang up his boots claims Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.

Terry who just turned 36 this week  has reportedly been offered a coaching role from the FA to work with the England Football Team.

The defender has been taking on coaching roles for some time with his playing career winding down.

The Blues veteran has played in only five of Chelsea’s 14 league matches this season with Conte deciding to limit his playing time, instead opting for a defensive three of Gary Cahill, Cesar Azpilicueta and David Luiz

It has been rumoured that Terry will call time on his career with the Blues at the end of this season, and it looks as if the West London Club isn’t jumping to offer him another contract.

However, there may be another option available for the long time veteran.

“John has great experience. I think this is very important,” said Antonio Conte.

“Now it’s important to be focused to play because, now, he’s a footballer.

“I think that it’s important what he feels in himself. His soul.

“And then to decide if, in the future, he can take this decision to become a manager. I think he can (be a coach), for sure.”
