Chelsea boss wants PSG star

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is thought to have identified PSG’s Marco Veratti as the ideal replacement for Cesc Fabregas.

Antonio Conte worked with the former Pescara starlet throughout his time in charge of the Azzurri.

It’s thought would reportedly be happy to ditch veteran Jon Obi Mikel, and Spaniard Cesc Fabregas to make way for the 24-year-old.

The player’s agent, Donato Di Campli, revealed the midfielder could move soon, despite recently signing a long-term deal until 2021: “The contracts are made and unmade in three minutes.”

That is in stark contrast to Verratti’s intention made just a few weeks ago: “I’m not leaving Paris until I win a Champions League”.

Fabregas hasn’t had much game time under Conte since the Italian arrived at Stamford Bridge, and his chances of getting played are becoming slimmer and slimmer with Chelsea’s good form continuing.

They have won 5 Premier League games in a row, and kept 5 straight clean sheets, and due to that sit 2nd in the league, a point below Liverpool.
