Reports today are claiming that Chelsea Football Club boss Antonio Conte is hoping to sign Ross Barkley and Riyad Mahrez in the summer.

Usually any report about Chelsea and Everton are about Lukaku making the move to Stamford Bridge, however, this time it’s Ross Barkley with Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez

Diego Costa  revealed earlier this month that Conte had told him via a text message that he is free to leave Stamford Bridge.

Express Sport understands they want Everton’s Romelu Lukaku as his replacement – ahead of Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.

However, the Telegraph are claiming Lukaku is not the only Toffee’s player Chelsea Football Club have an interest in.

It is said that Conte still has an interest in Ross Barkley, who apparently faces an uncertain future at Goodison Park.

Barkley’s contract expires in 12 months time and, speaking last month, manager Ronald Koeman admitted he was not confident the England international would extend his stay.

“No, because it is a long time that he is thinking about his future,” the Dutchman said.

“But I’m not worried because I like to work with players who like to stay.

“And it is not about his decision. We will go on. We are looking for players in that position.

“Even if he stays, there will be more competition for him next season.”

Another player on Conte’s radar is Leicester’s Mahrez who stunned the Foxes by demanding to leave just a year after helping them to the title.

His form last season was a very different to the previous season, with his goal tally of 10 put him eight short of his 2015/2016 tally.
