Blues boss Antonio Conte says Nathan Ake is ready and good enough to play in three different positions at Stamford Bridge.
Ake was recalled early from his loan spell at Bournemouth last week after impressive form in the first half of the season under Eddie Howe.
Conte made the switch to a 3-4-3 system earlier in the season and he has faith that Ake can fill three positions in the new formation.
The positions being central defence, as a left-sided centre back and at wing-back.
‘Ake can play as a central defender – in the middle or on the left – or he could play as a wing-back,’ said Conte.
‘It’s important now to work with us.
‘In these days I tried Ake as a central defender [in training’. It’s important for me to have a bit of time with him to know him better.’
