Antonio Conte doesn’t want to rush things as he is ready to wait a bit longer to grab the right project for him.
The former Chelsea manager was severely linked with the vacant Real Madrid job but with the Spanish club confirming Santiago Solari as their permanent manager, Conte won’t have any other choice but to wait for the perfect opportunity.
The Italian has been out of a job since leaving the post at Chelsea and although he was linked with a number of managerial jobs he seems to be taking his time to avoid a situation like his previous club.
Conte guided the West London side to the Premier League title in his maiden season but failed to replicate his form in the next season which led the club to get rid of him.
Conte said, “Let’s see what happens in the future, but for sure Italy. I would like be in Italy and work again in Italy, without excluding that I might work again abroad.
“For a manager of my level it is better to wait instead of jumping on a train. I prefer to wait for June and to start a path with a new team, a new project.
“For the moment, I don’t feel the urge to go back to work. Maybe in a two or three months I will feel the desire and I’ll say something different from what I am saying now.”
