The one thing we know about Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is that he isn’t afraid to say what he thinks, but so does Chelsea Football Club boss Antonio Conte.
Blues manager Antonio Conte hit out at Manchester United and Manchester City by claiming that a lot of summer spending in the transfer window will not guarantee success for the club.
Chelsea currently have a four-point gap at the top of the Premier League table, while United and City are battling to finish in the top four.
The Blues were ranked as the third biggest spenders last summer, however, their net spend was a lot smaller due to receiving £60m for outgoing Oscar in the January window just gone.
Manchester United forked out a world record £89m to bring back Paul Pogba to Old Trafford before the start of the season, meanwhile, Manchester City paid £50m for John Stones and £37m for Leroy Sane.
And Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has had his say on the matter:
“This season it’s very important to understand that it’s not always about who spends more money who wins,” Sky Sports News quotes Conte as saying.
“This season isn’t the only season both Manchester clubs have spent a lot of money. Look at the past. [We want] to build, also, slowly slowly to become a real power.”
Chelsea Football Club on their way to earn a cup double this season if they clinch both Premier League title and FA Cup.
Does this clown not realise that he inherited a squad packed with players previously purchased at very high cost?
What a plonker!
