Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed why he replaced Victor Moses with Cesc Fabregas in the Blues 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.

The game was looking like a boring draw until a pass led to a mistake from Chris Brunt which allowed striker Diego Costa to score the winner 15 minutes from time.

It was the Blues’s ninth consecutive win; a run which has seen them score 23 goals and concede just two, one of which was a Gary Cahill own goal.
Conte told BT Sport after the game: “I tried to change the cards, and to find a different solution. West Bromwich prepared well with great organisation.

“It was important to change the game and Cesc Fabregas is a good player when he came on, and I like him a lot.”

Chelsea return to the top of the table and are now three points clear of Arsenal with Liverpool third
