Antonio Valencia Dismisses Rumours Of A Rift Between Jose Mourinho And Players

Antonio Valencia has dashed all the rumours suggesting all the players are ready to give their all for the manager.

Manchester United grinded out a draw against Valencia in a match which was mostly dominated by the Spanish team. Following severe criticism over Jose Mourinho’s tactical strategy and United’s style of play, United were expected to crush Valencia with their attacking display.

But things remained the same as barring a few players nobody showed the intent of doing something energetic on the pitch. There had been reports of Antonio Valencia’s possible feud with gaffer as the player didn’t make himself available for the Derby County clash in the Carabao Cup.

But the Ecuadorian right back confirmed all is well between the players and the manager. “One hundred per cent. He is our boss, we have to be with him and we are fighting.”

“No, I have never had any problem with anyone, thank God.

“The decision [about the captaincy and vice-captaincy] is for the coach to make, now we need to see the positives. We played an important game and got a point, now we have a game against Newcastle and we need to fight

What I can say from the inside is that the lads are calm, working every day with a good attitude. We haven’t got good results and that’s why rumours arise.”
