Arjen Robben Expected To Miss Out On Bayern’s Return Fixture

Bayern Munich are set to without Arjen Robben for their upcoming Bundesliga fixture against TSG Hoffenheim.

The Bavarians had travelled to Doha without the veteran winger for their winter training session. Robben still got a niggling injury in his thigh which he is currently treating with individual training back at Munich.

Serge Gnabry or Kingsley Coman is the outright pick for the right flank position. Bayern are currently 6 points behind league leaders, Borussia Dortmund and are ready to climb their way up the top of the table.

Robben’s absence can be felt by the German outfit due to the sheer amount of experience he has in the spot. Even at this age, he is proving to be effective with 5 goals and 2 assists in 15 outings across all competitions.

The former Dutch international has already stated that this will be his final season with Bayern. Reports have already emerged of interests chiming in from Inter Milan and his former club, PSV Eindhoven.

It is unfortunate to see Robben miss out significant matches of his farewell tour with this current injury. “I’m not feeling so good,” he told Bild. “I can’t say when I will return, but we’ll take things from day to day. Me and the medical team, we’re working on it, but right now it’s not looking so good. We have to wait and see.”
