The two Premier League sides are set to try and sign the Atletico Madrid man
Yannick Carrasco could be on the move this summer and Arsenal and Chelsea are both willing to take him off Atletico Madrid’s hands.
According to reports today, the two Premier League sides will go head-to-head with several other European teams (such as PSG and Bayern Munich) to try and sign the winger at the end of the season.
The Atletico Madrid man has impressed in Spain and on the international stage for his country Belgium. So much so, that it has led to a lot of interest in him and the good news for any interested parties is that he may be available in the summer.
Madrid may decide to sell him on in the transfer window, with the player having fallen out of favour at the club despite his impressive showings.
Asking price is £40m
The La Liga side will want around £40m for his services, which is a fee that most of the interested clubs could afford.
Carrasco is a constant threat when he is on the pitch with his passing and goalscoring ability. He is constantly trying to provide his teammates with the next key pass that can lead to a goal, while also chipping in with several goals himself.
He would be a huge boost to any team he joined and Antonio Conte will be hoping it is his side. They have more than enough funds to pay the asking price and want to bolster their squad to make a good Champions League run next year.
Arsenal too are interested though and he could be the next big signing that the Gunners bring to the Emirates.
It looks set to be a hard battle for the 23-year old’s signature in the summer.
