With the arrival of Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski on a free transfer this summer, there have been many rumours linking Bayern’s Croatian striker with a move away from the German club.

Arsenal and Chelsea have been linked with the big striker, who has 23 goals in all competitions for Bayern Munich this season. But the Bayern Chairman, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, is confident that Mandzukic whill stay beyond the summer.

“I am aware that several clubs are interested in him but I think he will stay past the end of this season.”

He added: “I am noticing something by the players. They know what it means to play for Bayern and they appreciate it. They live in a beautiful city, a beautiful stadium, the best manager and the club is well known internationally.”
