Valencia are set to offer striker, Paco Alcacer, a new contract in order to fend off interest from Premier League duo, Arsenal and Chelsea.

According to reports in Portugal, the London duo want to make a ÂŁ14.5million offer for the Spaniard in January as they both look to add fire-power to their attack, despite Chelsea signing three strikers in the Summer.

As for Arsenal, they are still in the market for a new striker despite landing Danny Welbeck from Manchester United on transfer deadline day, and Alcacer was one of the names on Arsene Wenger’s wishlist after impressing whilst scouts were watching.

However, according to new reports, Valencia are set to offer the 21-year-old a new deal in order to fend off interest from the English clubs.

The La Liga outfit want to offer the striker a five-year deal and also insert a release clause worth around ÂŁ40m so that any club who wants him would have to spend big.

Alcacer netted 16 times last season for Valencia.
